Interesting read, nice parallels to health of human and blog health. I ran into this post because of submission over at BizSugar, and thought I'd drop by and read.

Like Delena mentions, and is human nature, discouragement is one thing, giving up is another, yet in my almost 20 years online, I'd have to say that the frustrations and giving up are the root of most failure. Of course, there is much more beyond that, part of it relating to what kind of marketer we each are, but at the root, those things play big roles in the results.

I've had times where I've seen visitors drop off as well. However, I can also track that back to certain things I've done, or in most cases not done, to cause that drop off. Social networking, for instance is a very big part of my traffic generation strategies, and I find when I fail to network as much, I can see nice dips in traffic.

In the end, allot goes back to people's failure to track as well. It's a bit hard to fix problems when people don't use analytics to begin with, which means most times, they have no clue about why things aren't working.

Nice post, one vote up for a visitor from BizSugar :)

PS. The tick box for comment submission to show people we're not scammers has blank text. Well, it's not blank, but it's the same color as the background and people can't read it. It could affect your comments :)
