The good old social media newsfeeds are nearly dead and have been watered down over the years with pages, groups, stories, fleets, and now spaces.

If you haven’t seen recently Twitter began doing Fleets and LinkedIn started with their stories feature and products tab. Instagram added reels which is a whole new stream in itself.

Many of these latest features are for mobile devices only. As that emerged now spaces are coming to Twitter. What will happen to the old newsfeeds? Will they become obsolete newsfeeds?

I think RSS will be around for a long time. Feedburner is still around, but not updated for many years.

I agree Martin, RSS feeds are important in many ways today!

Lisa: Blog posts and new articles are relying on some kind of RSS feed. I wonder if this will change in the future? We will talk soon again.

All the Best,

Martin

I don't think so Martin. They had been predicting the death of them for years now. I still have feedburner from Google :)

Lisa: I have to "chew" this post, and then have a chat with you. The option to subscribe to a RSS feed has been an important ingredient in your consumption of news, blog posts, podcasts, etc. How will you be able to keep track on the "rich site summary" of your "really simple syndication" in the future?

Best Premises,

Martin

Hi Martin, Yes I love the RSS feeds still today. I'm not sure what you are referring to in the future, social media posts, or blog posts?
