If you're looking to generate traffic, connect with like-minded people, and grow your business effectively then Twitter is where you should be. Truthfully, you should be on each social network but if you had to pick one at first, I'd recommend to start with this 7 step Twitter marketing plan.

Great post Gabe. Checking direct message gets really crazy and time consuming sometime because most people now use apps for to auto DM. What your's advice on that?

Thanks! Yes, I agree DMs can be a bit much at times, but it's still worth scanning through. You can easily tell which ones are real or automated.

Great post Gabe - for me Twitter is all about engagement and sharing. And that's the best way to attract business then too. Never ignore people - unless they are spam of course. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com

Absolutely agree, Sian. Social media is all about engagement of others. You can't expect to attract others without actually getting social with them.
