I have a great memory from my first period in Manchester, NH. The dorm room wasn't ready yet for the start of the first semester of my studies at Southern New Hampshire University (former New Hampshire College), so I couldn't move in my stuff on campus. The first week or so, I stayed at very nice Bed & Breakfast place. The owner was very service minded and helped to get to know Manchester in short time. I remember the carved wooden pineapple at the entrance of the B & B establishment. I learned that this was a symbol of hospitality.
