Alright, let’s jump into certainly one of the most important things you need to be familiar with your internet presence & performance. So, you have a web page where fans come & followers go, right? WRONG! With the very competitive world of digital business nowadays, you either possess a web page that perform or you don’t.

Hi Michael.

Interesting the difference in time for #'s 1 & 2.

It'd take me more than 5 seconds to actually read a page - if it's 5 seconds (or less, sometimes - virtually instant) - I thought it meant you'd arrived at the wrong place and skedaddled as fast as possible.

But if someone actually reads a whole page (maybe a half a minute to 2 or 3 minutes), then they got exactly what they wanted, and (intelligently) left the site.

I thought they only look for other material if they were either very impressed with what they already read - or, if they didn't find what they needed, and searched the site looking for it, thinking it may indeed be found there (2 very different reasons).

p.s. For blogs, we're all wise to the long video/long podcast method of attempting to decrease the bounce rate (and the frightfully dreadful series of pop-ups & sign-in pages, as well). Those are cheap shots in my view - very transparent (though if it's regular for a blogger, it means they're delusional - that they believe we'll all spend 30 minutes or an hour with them 5 days a week, like they're our favorite TV show).
