You don’t have to be likeable to everyone to be a great entrepreneur, just to the people who count. Of course, we can all point to apparent exceptions, like Ted Turner or Larry Ellison, who are sometimes seen as lions, downright predators, or even jerks. Yet I’m told that even these guys are considered quite likable by an intimate group of business and personal associates.

Something tells me Ted Turner & the Donald don't have any problem with #2 - "You Have to Like Yourself First".
Celebrities never do hear "no", or "That's the dumbest thing you've said in the last 10 minutes" like the rest of us do.
All they hear all day long is "Yes - you're soooo smart - I wish I was 1-1/1,000th as good and pure and precious and neat and noble as you!", or "How do you come up with so many spectacular, stupendous, wondrous ideas??" Or the classic: "You're even better looking than the last time I saw you!- have you lost weight?"

Nope. Because narcissists by their very nature tend to surround themselves by "yes-men," the type of people who are there to provide positive feedback and white-wash the negative.
The type of people that if you were the captain of the Titanic, 25 minutes after it struck the iceberg, would tell you, "Ship looks pretty good to me Cap...keep up the great work."
