Social currency is a measurement of your online or social media engagement that determines your level of online or social media influence according to information that is being shared about you.

I heard about Klout and Bing some years ago, that is why I wondered if it is still going. I haven't noticed the Klout score in the search result.

Sean: No worries. :) Thanks for the information about Brandbassador. Maybe I should use them as an example during my talk on social selling on November 21? ;) They are located in a neighbor country, Norway!

Why not? As I said in the article, I only found two companies who use customers' social currency this way. I'm hoping this will change in the future, and it's definitely something business owners can use to attract customers.

Sean: I went to the site, Brandbassador, and tried to sign up, but I didn't manage to do it...

Sorry for such a late reply, but I must have missed your comments somehow. I am in no way affiliated with Brandbassador, but since my wife bought a onesie from Onepiece, I thought that their social currency discount feature is something that deserves to be written about. I'd suggest contacting Brandbassador for more information.

Justin Bieber has a Klout score of 96?! I haven't check my score for a long time. Do you know if Bing is still using Klout in the search algorithm?

According to Wikipedia, " Microsoft announced a strategic investment in Klout in September 2012 whereby Bing would have access to Klout influence technology, and Klout would have access to Bing search data for its scoring algorithm."
