You make a good point. In another article on tips from working from home, I encourage getting out and staying social in the evenings. Perhaps a solution for teams in the same region is to get together once or twice a week. That way you get a good mix of the 2.

Hi Kimberly.

From my own experiences I agree with your article (I can't imagine anyone missing the jerks we sometimes have to work beside, though there are plenty of very good people, too), but there's more to it.

Beside interaction - virtual or real - there's being in the same physical space with other living, breathing human beings. No amount of virtual interaction can satisfy that - especially for those who live alone.

But I still prefer working alone at home (with my Kitty) - I do well alone, and for me, the advantages (like not having to go out this winter) far outweigh the disadvantages.
