I think to make holidays as holidays even for remote workers

Yes, this would make life a lot easier particularly since a lot of businesses tend to shut down during this period. However, there are a fair few businesses that don't close down, also factor in the fact that we've increasingly become more 'global', therefore providing more remote working opportunities.
