Testimonials let you show off the good side of your business I mean, let’s be realistic here. I’ve never seen an iffy testimonial published and I expect you haven’t either but even so, testimonials show some proof that you’ve solved real problems for real customers. And that’s what makes you more credible to prospective customers.

I know I'd be quite peeved if I sent a testimonial in good faith and it was edited as you advise. I probably wouldn't do business again, and Might even leave reviews on 3rd party sites (that you couldn't control) if it really bugged me - at least to the extent that what's reported in your testimonial is "funnied up". I don't mind being contradicted, but I hate being edited.
