The Business Grim-Reaper and My Near-Death Tour Through the Graveyard of Failed Businesses!
"Hi Yoni Enjoyed the analogy. I agree with your viewpoint on the largest grave being those businesses who don't engage with blogging and other social media tools to help promote their business. It amazes me still that I often here comments from people that blogging is a waste of time. Alot of this is still simple ignorance into its power to help promote you or your business. Thanks for sharing your thoughts."The Four Seasons of Project Management
"Hi Swawn. In answer to your first question, I would say yes. The difference being that while both will experience the seasons, the unsuccessful project will be dragged down by the poor handling of the "Autumn and Winter" phases i.e. by not handling things that were going wrong and becoming complacent earlier in the process. As to the second question you pose - I would say absolutely. Examination of the project from inception (concept phase) all the way through and identification of/mitigation against risks and issues is a constant process. Thanks for the comment. "Hi Yoni. How's it going with you? The point is well made and relevant - there is still alot of "yawn" out there in blog world. One thing I would add is that if you are putting in the comic strips etc is to make sure you that you make it relevant to what you are writing rather than using it simply as a hook - people will spot the difference :) Best Barney"Subscribe
F*ing and Blinding
"Hi Duncan. Good point and I would indeed exercise moderation as per the example of the guy on the train that I used. I would never write a "Blue" post with every second word being a profanity - but feel that bloggers should not be afraid to use it if they are comfortable with it. People will either get offended (and move on) or not. Can't please all the people all of the time I suppose. Thanks for adding to the post - point well made. Cheers Barney"
