Nice Bloggers Finish Last
"Hi Ivan. I would've agreed with you about controversy until some 75 days ago, when it got completely out of hand. People were genuinely offended (rightly so), and the blogger/perpetrator couldn't have cared less. It was all about stirring up a mess he could be the center of. I now eschew controversy-for-the-sake-of-it submissions - I won't vote for them for the obvious reason, or comment on them because that may add attention to something I'd rather went buried. Consider me wounded by past controversies. (But I would've been all for it before suffering a couple weeks of sleepless nights as a moderator here.) "Hi Mariam. If it's anything like tying a neck-tie, I'd never be able to do it. I still don't know how to tie a neck-tie - but it's OK, because I haven't worn one in decades - including weddings & funerals. I used a clip-on for job interviews. Plus, beside the fact that whoever invented the neck-tie should've been hung & then re-hung, I have a 20" neck - I'd have to buy custom shirts to be able to button the neck). Duncan"Subscribe

"Hi Rivkah. I've seen many different MMA groups - Ultimate, Pride, Bodog, and a couple others I can't remember (1 with teams of former college wrestlers). I've seen enough to know it's not my cup of tea. I'm fine with K-1 (karate) or kick-boxing (savate), but what I don't like is the "ground game" - wrestling. 2 guys hugging for 5 minutes is off-putting - and boring. Even the fake wresting (which I haven't seen in years*) at least has movement to keep the eye busy and squelch boredom. But I also like what Joe Frazier said a few years ago - in his world, you don't kick a man when he's down. Duncan *I Did love GLOW - the Gorgeous Ladies of Wresting (Spanish Red was my fave). "
