"I'm not sure. I was offered them by Facebook this time (which is unusual - I usually seem to be one of the last ones to get new rollouts!). "I'm glad you enjoyed the post. Depending on how you use your Facebook page, your suggestion could definitely by viable. If you use your personal page as a means to network and connect with new people, then, yes, you should definitely be open to connecting with friends of friends. However, many people, including myself, like to keep our personal Facebook accounts for private use only. That being said, I am easily accessible on all other platforms."Subscribe

The Importance of Using LinkedIn
"Hi Val! The great thing about LI is that it isn't a social media site like the other ones. You really don't need to worry about "keeping up" with anything. Just logging on a few times a week (even if only for 5-10 minutes) to see if you have new connections or messages. Also, signing up for groups is a great way to engage. You can choose one article a week to comment on and then just stay up to speed on the other comments. Also, if you're connected to people on other sites (Twitter, etc.) send a connection request on LI. It takes only a couple minutes to add 2-5 connections per week. I get a lot out of LI but I really don't spend a lot of time on it."
