How to Transition Your Fans Away From Facebook - Jenn's Trends
"I don't think we can be too late with this topic. It has flared up recently but this has been an ongoing issue for quite some time and I think it will continue to be an ongoing issue for a while longer. If you have something to add to the conversation, then I think you should write about it!"How to Transition Your Fans Away From Facebook - Jenn's Trends
"I don't advise anyone to abandon Facebook. I think Facebook pages are still a very necessary portion of most social media strategies. I just think that businesses need to be aware of the realities of using Facebook and be aware of the other alternatives available. I've written numerous times about the importance of having fans follow us to other platforms (no matter which one you use primarily) because they are all "rented" space. It's important to be as diversified as possible. And I hope that Facebook will see what's going on and adjust their model. But in the meantime, we need to do the best we can with what they give us. And you can find me on Google+ more often now! ;)"5 Reasons Why Facebook's Reduced Organic Reach is Killing Facebook - Jenn's Trends
"Facebook as a personal account is definitely a walled garden. However, I don't think that applies to business pages at all. But Facebook is traditionally a reactive site - people sign up to follow your page AFTER they do business with you, not before. This is why it's hard to reach out and grow a fan base of potential clients. Twitter and G+, however, tend to be a little less reactive, and a little more proactive (prior to business purchases/interactions). I don't know if G+ will overtake Facebook's position. At this point, I feel like it's Facebook's position to lose, not someone else's to take away. But G+ is a very useful and well integrated platform that offers so many great applications. So it will continue to grow and become more and more influential."Subscribe
