Hopefully, your clients will listen to you! :) And thanks for pointing out that a blog doesn't have to be made up solely of written words. Infographics, podcasts, videos, etc. all count, too! I think Marriott has done a great job with their blog "Marriott on the Move". The posts are written by Bill Marriott himself, so you get a really personal feel. Sure, Marriott would have plenty of business without its blog, but to me, that personal touch really makes them stand out."
One blog post that immediately popped into my head is the one I wrote about Burger King's Satisfries (http://premiercontentsource.com/blog/?p=532) That one was everywhere for awhile, thanks to it getting picked up by some of the bigger sites (like Social Media Today http://www.socialmediatoday.com/content/even-big-boys-need-content-writing-help) Another piece that immediately popped into my head was an article I wrote for our "Advice from the Experts" section on our website (http://premiercontentsource.com/SEO-Content-Engaging-The-Reader.html) Search Engine Land and Sphinn picked that one up (among others), and I was seeing it everywhere for awhile :)"
I haven't done any podcasting, but I have seen people take their blog posts and turn them into an ebook. It's actually a really great way to group a bunch of related blog posts together so that people have the info they need, without having to search all over the blog's archives for them!"
