Blogging for Businesses results in 55% More Traffic, 97% More Inbound Links!!
"AMEN Laura!!! One of the messages I have been consistently speaking of in my blog is the POWER of business-blogging. I have now gotten to the point with my writing business where 80-90% of my new customers now contact me as a direct result of reading my blog. It's amazing what 2-3 hours of blogging per-week can pay in dividends. Thanks for the article! Yoni"Being a Decision Maker Means You Take Risk | CFOwise
"I really liked the inspirational message of this article. I agree with you that there is a time and a place for risk; it is after all one of the driving forces which make the business wheels go round and round. I do, however, feel that responsibility needs to go along with that risk to an incredible high degree. Unnecessary, uncalculated and uneducated risk are some of the reasons for some of the serious economic problems we currently face. I guess I liken it to the skier whom you mentioned. The downhill race can be downright dangerous, perhaps even deadly for those without proper expertise. Risk-taking is a necessary factor, but it needs to be left in the hands of those with the wisdom and knowledge to recognize that one possible outcome of risk can be ruin. "Shawn, Thanks so much for your response! You are so right that it can apply to any field. I actually got a personal phone call from an attorney yesterday. He had become so frustrated at not being able to find his first job that he went into a lawyers office, told them he needed a desk to sit at because he was not leaving. He demanded a month-long free trial period at the end of which he would give the firm the following two choices: "If you like me and my work, hire me, if not, you will never see me again; just give me a chance to prove myself!" He is now in his eight year at the firm. The point of the article, at least in my mind is that the initial period of breaking in can be the toughest. It is the time when many are inclined to throw up their hands. In addition to the more traditional ways of making one's mark, there are the more unconventional options. Persistence is the key!
