#4, "Don't listen to the squeaky wheel", is great advice, Jed. So many times the squeaky wheel DOES get the oil. I've seen it too many times in my working life - the complainer gets almost everything their own way, everyone else is treated normally (or beneath). What the squeaky wheel Needs is a swift kick in the behind!
