Most small business owners are occasionally tempted to mix business and personal expense. During the startup stage, you may not even be pulling a salary, so everything kind of overlaps. Unfortunately, as your business grows, keeping personal and business finances separate becomes more difficult—and failure to do so only puts your business at greater risk of an audit or worse. It’s a better idea to keep business, and personal accounts separate right from the beginning.
