Hi Susan.

Very keen insight, as usual. I see what you've written happening here every day or two. Some of it's very good stuff, but not a good fit (from my own personal viewpoint, which is obviously of limited scope).

As for your analogy - I'm one of those who has never managed to fit in anywhere, though some places are a better fit than others.

Hi Susan.

I learned I was best suited to solo work by age 30 (looong ago). I like to talk to musicians, and listen to them play, but my forte is polyphonic improv. Another place I didn't fit in, so I made the best of it I could.

Oh Duncan I think you are being too harsh on yourself. I think I read that you have always been into music and I bet there were places that you visited to network with other musicians. Unfortunately I do think people are still looking for instant results and that could also be part of the problem.
