Article marketing has been a passion for some, and it’s always been a good way to help with a great many things including SEO, building reputation, authority, branding, and a great many other things as well. Once upon a time, article marketing was great because we’d simply copy and paste a piece to multiple directories and watch the process build easy traffic to our doors, but that is the once upon a time part of article marketing.

James,

More great, quality advice on keeping it real. Very well written and thought-out...and great Eastwood-esque title.

Thanks for the kind words again Yoni, but article marketing has gotten a bit ugly, so I thought it fit :)

Good article, Trogar.

I agree, scamming search engines was Always bogus. Those that got burnt by Panda/Farmer got what they deserved. What gets me, is I'm STILL seeing new articles practically daily evangelizing "Directories", "Spinning", "auto-blogging", "Link-Wheels", and "Article Marketing". It's annoying!

Thanks Duncan,

Yeah, you're right, and it's amazing how many just don't realize what they're talking about. At least one thing is certain, those in the know now know who NOT to follow. :) Thanks for the support, will have to take a look at some of your work and see what it's about :)

Last thoughts, anyone still pushing outdated methods obviously doesn't know what they're talking about :) Hopefully, people will educate themselves and realize who's keeping it real and who's trying to BS :)
