I totally agree with your perspective here. I think that a content professional is truly one of the major players for any business, especially if the company is aiming to build a highly visible brand presence online.
Quality content is the driving force behind most major marketing campaigns so if you don't have a solid foundation in that department, everything else stands to suffer as well.

That's why it baffles me when business owners try to cut corners with their content. They may think they're doing a really great job at saving money, but they're actually losing a whole lot more in the end!
