Thanks for all the comments folks! It's true that you have to love your blog. But we all have days when we just don't feel like writing, wouldn't you say? So we shouldn't be afraid to change things up a bit to break out of that rut :)

What is purpose of blog when you hate it? If you hate something to do, then that is obviously boring, and when you do something boring, then readers finding that as boring too!

I'm a big fan of your suggestion number 4, "Let someone else write the blog post". I think that inviting other voices and perspectives is one of the very best ways to add value to blogs. I'm surprised that more bloggers don't use this as a strategy for growth, maybe it's a control thing? - Niall
