This is a great post on this topic, Timo. I don't think this gets addressed enough.

I agree that reading blog posts can be a huge time suck if you let it. A big part of my day consists of commenting on other bloggers posts and engaging them. In order to effectively do that I have to at least skim their content to pull out points that I can relate to and expand upon.

I think it's a good idea to set aside sufficient time for reading really important articles that you really know will add value to your life and business, however; as you mentioned, you should not let it become a complete time suck.

I guess too much reading is an issue here. I too read posts since I can learn a lot from them, but I try to keep some kinds of limits when doing so.

A very good question Timo. I'm sure a people will come up with different answers and opinions on this but in my own humble opinion.

I know that its never a waste of time to read blog posts because, the money you read, the more you build connections with other bloggers and the more you learn new things that you never know before. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.

Val: I agree with your view. It is never a waste of time to read blog posts. If I see that this is post is not for me, I stop reading it. Sometimes I quickly scan through posts.
