The about us page on a website serves as the great purpose of informing our visitors what our business does and what we can help them with. However, it is not the coolest kid in school and truly how many of your website visitors actually make it there? Probably not too many, since the home page seems to be the place to give a little snidbit about the business and the about us page is just a place to go for more detail. About pages should be both informative and entertaining/interesting hopefully sharing more insight about the business and the people behind it, sometimes easier said than done.

Very true! it's not easy if your running a business and then trying to find extra time to share stories about you and the people you work with. However, if you can work it in I think it can add a lot to a site.
