Should You Blog On Holidays?

Whether or not to write and publish a new blog post on a holiday may seem like an obvious answer to some, but the fact is, there may be a number of benefits that warrant consideration.

Depends on the writer. If blogging is fun for you, the best time to have fun is on holidays.

Hi Mike,

This is a very interesting and informative article. Speaking from my own side of the fence, I don't usually post on the holidays, at least not anything in-depth. If I do create content on a holiday it'll most likely be a link roundup of sorts or a holiday email that I shoot out to my list.

I like the concept of preparing for the holidays and pre-writing an article to auto-publish. This is a great alternative if you really don't want to or won't have to time to create content.

I think we should blog on holidays but it depends upon the blogger.

Mike: As you said, if you have international readers it could be a good idea to blog on a holiday. I wrote a post on Thanksgiving in order to educate both Americans and international readers about the true foundation about Thanksgiving. It was a business venture by the Virginia Company of London.

A very thoughtful question mate. I think that the answer will depend on individuals and their want but for me, i think it will be wise to publish on holidays because if you don't your blog will be stagnant in most cases until you start publishing and updating it again. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.
