I have noticed that some bloggers are removing the dates from their blogs. I don't think that is a good practice and I am going to tell you why. I, myself like to know when a blog post has been written. I know on my own blog it helps me find posts that I might want to re-share. Also, I want to know when I wrote that blog post. I just like the idea of remembering when I have wrote something. It's nothing like not knowing when you wrote something. It simply drives me crazy. I'm sure it drives you crazy too, when you can't remember when you wrote something as well.

Tcamba,

There certainly is! There is no reason why the dates shouldn't be posted. Thanks for reading and I really appreciate your comment!

Sean,

I totally agree! Even if the information is old you want to know the date. It's nothing like knowing when something was written. It gives it so much authenticity. Thanks for reading and I really appreciate your comment!

Lyceum,

You are a well established blogger!:)That is something that I know you are proud of and your readers will really appreciate knowing that. I don't know why someone wouldn't want that to be known. Thanks for reading and I really appreciate your comment!

I agree with the notion that you shouldn't remove the date of your blog posts. I know that some so-called A-bloggers are doing things. I think that they want to promote it is as evergreen content and note dated information. I will stick with having the dates including in my blog posts. FYI: I started blogging on May 7, 2002... :)

The only thing a visitor can see from a blog or article that doesn't have a date is old information. Old information is good when you're specifically looking for it, but even then you want to know how old and when exactly was that old information published.

"If people can't see the dates on your blog. They don't know if your site is active or not. No dates means I don't know if you have written that blog post in 2014 are in 2009."

True, I definitely don't want to see a blog that shows inactivity. I believe there is a way for bloggers to randomize their blog posts.

Removing the dates in your blog posts is never a god practice and, It will sometimes look spammy so, I think it's wise to always leave the dates. Thanks for sharing this with the bizsugar community.

As long as the content of the post are knowledge based then it will not become spammy
