It's true, Chris, but buyers who know the benefits of certain features often research & qualify their purchases based on the existence of the feature(s) that produce the benefit(s). i.e. I want to record a TV show on DVD while watching a different show (or a video tape) simultaneously - does the device in question have that feature? People who use "buying guides" buy based on feature lists & specs (the latter being easily manipulated via differing testing methods stringent-v-"lax").
