Perhaps never before in business has anyone been able to succeed so much by using so little!

Lessons abound from this 80s television classic. It's about resourcefulness, wit, improvisation, bootstrapping, and making the most out of limited resources.

The cool head of Macgyver how appropriate, small business development is not for the fain hearted and you certainly need to keep calm to ensure you reach the light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks Susan,

Macgyver is certainly the model of keeping cool under pressure! Will you be posting today?

Great post Yoni.

The lesson about keeping a cool head is so true in small business as there can be a tendency to just react to the situation rather than take a few moments to think through the options.

Very Uplifting and Inspirational Article! (MacGuyver's also the father of SNL's "MacGruber" - named MacGruber MacGuyver! Richard Dean Anderson appeared on the show. MacGruber always blathers too long - everyone gets blown up.)

Ah, MacGyver! The memories come flooding back. Actually, I never watched it but it seems like every other kid in my high school did and talked about the show incessantly. But, of course, they had to listen to me yammer on about Star Wars, Star Trek (which wasn't even from the same era) and Battlestar Galactica (which was already in re-runs) day in and day out so I guess eveything evens out in the end. Great post, Yoni, and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Shawn,

I watched Star Trek and Galactica too, but found time for MacGyver. I spent way too much time watching TV as a kid, but I guess it's paying dividends too. Lot's of TV stuff to write about!
