Wacky, outlandish, weird and wonderful. I will take these qualities that make up the colour in life any day over the carbon copy, paint by numbers bloggers.

Frankenstein was my childhood hero. On the playground I took it as a compliment if a kid said I looked like Frankenstein! (He was big, strong, and dangerous - everything I wasn't).

I got it pretty good on the receiving end of the playground too. I had heroes too, and was might disappointed they couldn't come to my aid. My favorite was AquaMan. I guess he had a pretty good excuse..what with playgrounds being on dry land.

Frankenstein is a good hero. Big, strong and with a heart of gold. Perhaps he is one of the more misunderstood of the literary figures. He's got the image of a monster, yet it is monstrosity born of being screwed over, let down and shunned. Truly a heart-breaking story.
