Thanks for the reviews, Tristan. To put this in perspective, $100 is considered very inexpensive for a microphone in the music recording industry. At Johnny Carson's Tonight Show desk was an AKG C414 that runs over a grand now - that was the mic he used for speaking to guests.

p.s. While many business people wouldn't consider spending much on a mic, the 19 year old kid in a garage band would - whether they're the singer, or just micing their instrument. Go figure.
