Google CEO Eric Schmidt told us through his speech that the Chinese will dominate the web in the future.

Not just the Chinese, but I think the whole of Asia is rising up in the booming days of social media.

Another reason why we should watch this area of the world closely is with the recent ICANN decision to proceed with non-latin language domain names.

I have a video on my Posterous page which shows just how much this will impact the countries concerned with this change. It is a huge step for them... and I'm sure this will effect all of their participation online, including social media. It's just a question of time.
