Mobile numbers are certainly sobering, especially for those businesses, marketers and publishers who still fail to take them into account when creating their strategies. I suspect these individuals don't realize just how vast a mobile audience they are still overlooking. But, assuming trends continue, ignoring this growing group of consumers could be increasingly dangerous.

Yes, they still fail to take them into account. My best bet would be that they feel overwhelmed because they came late to the party and have to catch up.
