My single, most important, lesson learned that I wish to share with those just starting their own business is to surround themselves only with people who support them and their business. Any beginning is an exciting and delicate time so it’s imperative that a business owner focus only on the actions, customers, resources, and thinking that support his or her great new venture. There is no room for self-doubt or second-thoughts about the venture. I've started three businesses and have learned from experience that I wasted a lot of time worrying about the business, talking about my concerns, questioning myself, etc. It’s all wasted time and energy. Just focus all the brain power, charisma, thinking, creativity, ingenuity and chutzpah to building your business. Think of it as an investment.
