I think this really comes down to the personality of the entrepreneur. Are you a pioneer preferring to operate without a road map of any kind or do you prefer to take over an existing operation and improve upon it? There are other things to consider when making the choice, but it probably comes down mainly to the kind of business and the temperament of the entrepreneur. Use your instincts on this one.

There are benefits to both scenarios, and each entrepreneur needs to carefully take them into account. My husband and I decided that it was better for us to start from scratch - and it's working out for us :)
