Working at home have real advantages on someone especially to those who are single parents because they can easily integrate their time to their work and work but it may become a disadvantage because at home, their are many distractions that can take your mind of something you are doing so important.

It is indeed impossible to please everyone. Striking the right balance between good to work and good to family is the key – and it is one of the most challenging things for women working from home. I used to feel guilty all the time; and I used to have people comment at me that I am at home and still do “less” house related work and spend most of the time sitting on my chair.

Well, I slowly taught them that I am STILL at work and that I bring home income – so the fact that I am AT home doesn’t mean I am always free and available.

At the same time it is a real blessing to be able to attend to kids, do the household work at our flexible timing etc. – like be there for the family while at work!

So, ya, finding the balance is the key – it takes quite a while to figure out the right balance and its perfectly OK.

A dedicated office space is one thing every work at home professional should definitely consider. They should assure themselves that they will feel comfortable working at their home office cause it would definitely affect their productivity.
