Innovation should make things better and easier. But the terms ‘change’ and ‘innovate’ have become dirty words for many, because they usually involve more work and more process. This brilliant book actually shows how effective change and innovation can happen.
To drive change and achieve a positive culture, the business-as-usual mind-set must be challenged and the things that are holding back innovation (complacency, entrenched behaviours, cultures, complexity and processes) must be identified, ‘killed’ then replaced with bigger thinking. New practices then need to be nurtured.

Thanks for sharing this review with the BizSugar community. I especially like the idea of asking the question, "How can the competition beat us?" It seems to me that if industries like brick and mortar retailers and newspaper publishers (to name but a few) would have asked this question a few years ago, they might have been more prepared for what was to come. I also firmly believe that some of the most revolutionary innovation begins with small change that brings about huge ripples. (Think of Google's simple ambition to make the Web more useful and more searchable.) Your revolution doesn't need to be grandiose, just game-changing.
