I am reading Personal Kanban (Mapping Work - Navigating Life) by Jim Benson & Tonianne DeMaria Barry at the moment. I think that the Trello app is an applicable tool if you want to visualize your workflow. I will use this tool in conjunction with Workflowy for a complete list of all my worklife projects, to-do stuff, tickler files, etc. I am also using a physical kanban series of bulletin boards (to-do, doing, done and one board with weekly review notes). The hard thing is to get all the stuff from different channels, together in one pipe-line in the end. That is why I am using a Evernote smart notebook by Moleskine, jotting down all my ideas, flow charts, sketches, business canvases, etc.
