Wonderful overview of the kind of homework necessary before approaching a web designer. I feel a lot of people jump in to the huge project of getting a website built without knowing what kind of content and structure decisions/directions that ideally need to be brought to the table. Designers can't read minds!"
First of all, we've been consuming a ridiculous amount of information in the office via video content, so thumbs up on a fun, down-to-earth way to address a topic. Secondly, I think one of the mantras of marketing via social media is that it takes time to see the results from your efforts. For a business developing a social media marketing strategy, are there any time-wasters you'd advise steering away from when making this effort?"
Thanks for your coverage on B2Bs! Seems facebook, twitter, and other social media outlets are embraced with more success by Business-to-Consumer entities than they are by B2Bs. It's good to see some B2Bs having marked success with those channels. Social media is a huge time investment, so it's also good to see it being used as a form of lead gen, online reputation management... valuable information here. Appreciated."
I didn't find it depressing at all. Every one of those ten points can be seen as doomsday or a challenge, depending on how you look at it. Entrepreneurs need to address the not-so-fun realities too, and if they can accept them as part of doing business, then I'd imagine they'd be more successfully prepared. Article was a good overview."
