Negative Comments: Should they Really Matter to You as an Internet Marketer?
"Hi Daniel, I think it depends on the kind of negative commenting we're discussing. Debate about a post can be a good thing. Debate fosters community. And, as others have pointed out, constructive criticism can be good for you. But personal attacks on a blogger or other members of your community serve no productive purpose and you may wish to consider deleting these for the benefit of the community. I'm all for free speech, but I don't think this requires you to allow your site to be overtaken by trolls. "10 New Things SEOs Should Care About For 2012
"Hi Adam, This is a pretty good article, a good overview. But Adam, what exactly are you referring to when you say "Just look at what is happening with guest posts." I'm interested, because it seems guest posting this year has become the latest replacement for other methods of getting traffic, like using article submission sites. Sorry if I'm out of the loop on this, but it would be great if you could clarify the point. Thanks! ~Heather Stone"Are you a true leader? 5 Unmistakable Symptoms that you are not!
"Bernd, I really love this series of videos! Very entertaining and humorous as well, yet they hit home your key points about leadership. I think the production on these is quite good..just curious, how did you shoot them?...Were they shot in a studio, or do you just have the right post production SW to make them look great? I plan on getting more into video myself, but I go the blogger on the edge style: on the fly, one take, flip cam or some other small budget way. But then again, I'm more of a techhie than a business SME. (Also, in my particular field, IT, hate to say it but it's not unheard of for leaders to be constantly connected via smartphone...after all, some of us have 24/7/365 uptime required...but that's not your average business situation, I'll admit.) Anyway, love the vids, and be sure to keep a lookout for our new feature coming to BizSugar on the 30th, as it may come in handy. ~Heather Stone "7 Awesome Apps You Can Use to Run Your Small Business
"Hi Ashley, I plan on using Expensify..I've heard a lot of great things about that particular SW. But my question pertains to Bump. First, have you actually used it? I don't know anyone who has. I'm wondering, in this day and age of the App, what is the etiquette for initializing the use of Bump when you meet someone else? I mean think about it, what do you say? "Do you use Bump?"...and then if they say no you have to go into some lengthy explanation of what it is and why they should use it. And, I mean, that's not a problem if you're an evangelist kind of person, but if you're on a tight schedule, that's just one added layer of time investment. Personally, I find it easy when I'm offered a business card to simply take a photo of it with my smartphone and hand it back to the person with a smile, saying something like "Here's your business card back, now you can save it to use for another contact." Every single time the person remarks how great it is, how thoughtful, and they really remember me too. It's low tech, but it gives me an "in" to either start a conversation, or finish business dealings on a memorable positive note. "Hi Stacie, I've been using Google calendars for just a little while now to coordinate some of my marketing efforts, along with school projects, and one of the things I find frustrating is that I go through the trouble to color code events..for instance social media outlets each have a different color..it helps. Anyway, when I go to share the calendar, the only way people can see it with the color coding is if I make them able to view and edit the calendar--something that I'm not completely comfortable with. Am I wrong, or is there no way to do this without giving away the edit function? Just wondering, since you've used it longer than I. ~Heather Stone"What Bloggers Can Learn from Gangnam Style
"This video's success and the success of the song it helped popularize represent hugely important lessons for the online marketing community. There is no limit to how far the right message can spread and the amount of your budget need not be a factor. Thanks for sharing this post with the BizSugar community!"Bing Ranking Factors — Vs. Google, Which Traffic is Easier to Get?
"Hi Danny, Bing search is an important thing to keep in mind while marketing your Website. Though certainly not as prominent as Google, Bing is slowly carving out its own share of the search market. It' s a small but growing market that can't be ignored. Thanks for sharing your observations with the BizSugar community."Subscribe
Tiny Fish & Chip Shop vs. Giant Warner Bros: The Perils of Scooby Snax
"Hi Kasey, This is one of those instances where I feel like the shop owner should have probably seen trouble coming. Media companies like Warner Bros. are very aggressive about asserting intellectual property rights. At the same time, I feel like this isn't exactly a smart move on WB's part. It's more likely that this fish and chip shop would end up providing free publicity for the cartoon franchise than that it would compete against or damage it in any way. "
