Being Busy is Not Productive
"Interesting post, but I'm not sure I agree--especially if a lot of what you do requires social engagement. But one thing I definitely agree on is either making some meetings tight and productive, or just not meeting at all. If it becomes just another distraction and doesn't actually work to coordinate a team's efforts, it's just not worth the trouble."Micromanagers and the e-mail-trap
"Some good advice, depending on the type of business you have. For me, at least, I have to be accessible to my clients most of the time. I leave my email up and running often, and do check it at regular intervals, time and work permitting. But I make a rule to get back within 24 hours of having received a message, which is easy to do since I check regularly. I think there's a big difference between what employees should do and what indie contractors must do to keep the lines of communication open. Nice post!"The Social Media Race Companies Can't and Can Win
