"I agree with you, and all the internal comments - but I have a sure-fire solution: turn your speakers off until you want to hear something. The little beeps, etc from the computer annoy me enough to do that all by themselves - even w/o music popping in unexpectedly. My speakers are off unless there's a video or podcast I'm checking out. He got up 7 times, too - that's called "heart" in boxing (not equivalent to "chin").
