Is There a Stronger Brand Than Apple?
"Shawn- I agree that there's no need to compare ourselves to Apple's brand, but that doesn't mean we can't learn anything by watching them do business. I also agree that many of their products are overpriced, but the amount of brand loyalty they've generated allows them to charge those prices. "Don’t Respond to Biz Sugar Comments: You Might Lose a Reader & A Voter
"I think a major reason many people fail to respond to comments on BizSugar is that they don't know when their article receives a comment. I personally try to respond to any comments I receive, but BizSugar is the only place where I post a link to my blog that I don't receive a notification of comments. Whenever I get a comment on my log or in a LinkedIn group where I've posted a discussion I get an email letting me know, and then I respond as soon as I can. I do try to check out my comments on BizSugar, but sometimes the day gets away from me. Pat"The Silo Effect
"I think many businesses understand the need to work together, but then fail to execute. It's still easy to say "that's an accounting issue" or "customer service should handle that" without anyone taking responsibility for anything outside of their usual departmental domain. I'll be sure to check out the link. Thanks for the info!"Why Use Location-Based Social Media?
"Possibly. I think there's a long way to go before that becomes viable on a large enough scale for most businesses to participate. Right now it just seems like a toy and a fad, and too many businesses are playing catch-up with technology to play around. However, as the article I linked to mentions, Facebook and Twitter are looking to add location features to their sites, and there's real possibility for either of those to catch on."« previous1 next »

Increasing Prices for Mediocre Services
"Yoni, Susan, and Lyceum- The saddest thing is that many of us whose tax dollars already support the postal service never get anything but junk mail! I just really wish they'd re-think the entire process to reflect the needs of the 21st century. Thanks for the comments! Pat"
