4 Ways To Profitably Grow Your Brand
"Susan, I'm getting rid of resumes, something I've been meaning to do for a long time. They are time consuming and the ROI is not good. Plus, every time you have a question, it's hours of phone-tag with the client. My favorite projects are speeches. They're fun. I wish I could do nothing but speeches, but they tend to be rare. Great points from you as always. Yoni"You Say You Want to Boycott Israeli Businesses? Okay, Start by Giving Up These Modern Amenities...
"Rochelle, I always believe that politics and business, and politics and blogging don't mix. The point here was to dissect the machinations of a boycott and the "Boycott Israel" movement is in the news quite often. I guess the point I was trying to make is that a successful boycott, like Cesar Chavez or many others is not an a-la-carte undertaking. It doesn't mean boycotting some things and not others because you can't give up certain things that you need in your day-to-day life. Yoni"You Say You Want to Boycott Israeli Businesses? "Hamed, Your feedback is much appreciated. You are right that a boycott can hurt people that the boycotters don't intend on hurting. Israel is made up of many people: Muslims, Christians, Arabs, Jews, Beduin, Druse. A boycott doesn't make a distinction. And why you ask is Syria not being boycotted for its crackdown? Sudan for its actions in Darfur? Turkey for its treatment of the Kurds? Iraq for ongoing massacres of Christians? Yemen for its bloody crackdown against its own citizens? Is Iraq boycotting American or Britain or Canada? I don't know but good questions. Anyhow, as I mentioned, I'm just trying to look into the principle of a business boycott. Thanks for checking it out. Yoni"You Say You Want to Boycott Israeli Businesses? Okay, Start by Giving Up These Modern Amenities...
"David, A country with many troubles for sure (my office is our bomb shelter), but pretty good quality of life in other regards. Very few murders, not much crime and the kids stay out and play unsupervised until late. But as the boycott attests to, it is a constant PR battle. Yoni"Subscribe
Do you agree with Harvard that international people are more creative?
""If you live abroad and work or study you are likely to be more creative, a better problem solver, start new businesses, be a better manager, get promoted and create new products." Well, I do live abroad (14 years now), but have to admit I only fit one of the criteria. I am creative, I'll admit that, but I am terrible at solving problems, would manage a major company into the ground, am usually passed over for promotion because I'm too rebellious and lone-wolfish, and the only new product I could ever create would probably be a pet-rock...oh crap, that's been done...how about a pet tweezer.
