Not such an unheard of idea really.

My favourite mention of dropping customers is Michael Port's "Red velvet rope" policy in his book "Book Yourself Solid"

When you work with only customers who understand and love you your work will be execellent.

When your work is excellent your excellent customers will be wow-ed and they will come back (repeat business) or refer their friends. And guess what, their friends are also likely to be excellent.

A "no-idiot-client" policy is a must. And it's fun :-)
