Doing this has been the #1 thing that's helped me get my first few sales of my own products and services. Plus, it gives you a way to start building your experience and portfolio to offer services to larger clients.

Using social media and blogging is also a great way to bring in business. I've used these two methods successfully to help give my brand more exposure. Plus, if you can build a loyal audience and fan base around your blog, your audience can drive business for you.
