There are MANY great reasons to become a freelancer. No cranky bosses. No long commutes. Lunch-break in the forest walking the dog. Playing Hendrix and Zeppelin at full-blast!

But what happens when you get sick? A serious and irreverant discourse on the subject...

Ben,

Einstein said "Creativity is More Important Than Knowledge." Since I don't have that much biz knowledge yet, I'm trying to fall back on the creativity part.

Hope it's working...

Thanks,

Yoni

Tis better to be healthy Yoni. That you are back up blogging is a good sign! Great look at being sick and missing work as a freelancer. Get well from your friends at JobShuk!

Hi Yoni,

I hope you get better soon. You are right as a freelancer no work no pay.

As a suggestion, if you think of your work as a business then perhaps it is worthwhile to build in the costs to cover not only sick leave but holidays as well. I know it isn't easy.

The only other suggestion I can think of at the moment is to partner up so someone covers you and you do not lose out entirely.
