Growing up in somewhat of a small town, I fondly (used loosley) remember how it seemed my parents knew everything I did (or didn’t do). Regardless of how far down my block I was, what the neighbors saw, my parents saw. Reminds me of the old African proverb that says “it takes a village to raise a child”. There was an understanding. A trust. We knew the people around us. We got together for block parties and fireworks. We had a community.
