For small businesses, it’s important to have a powerful website. Therefore, as you begin the process of building the ideal website for your small business, it’s important to include several elements that will successfully portray your product/service and brand.

Hi Brittany.

I agree with what Patricia said about keeping videos short (I'd say less than 4 minutes, Maximum - no matter who you are, including the President). I see a video blog as something that should take the same time as reading a blog - if the blogger is asking me to spend 30 minutes or an hour, I feel they're likely delusional. Blocks of time that long are reserved for Hollywood TV shows, movies, and concerts - with top quality production values, not droning talking heads instructing us or selling something.

In some cases, I sense video is used as a "secret weapon" to decrease the bounce rate (which is what you mentioned in the article), but it can backfire.

Hello Brittany. I think every one of these points are VERY necessary for small business online websites. I'd like to add two thing: A call to action is actually VERY important as without it, you may as well not even have a website, and then your videos should barely be longer than 30 sec to 1 min.
