7 Ways to Stretch Your Startup Dollars
"Hi Ben, This is an awesome post on what may be the most important issue in entrepreneurship. Doing more with less is one of the great challenges in small business startup and I think companies that get it right from the beginning will likely be the most successful in the end. "What a church can teach us about the ‘wow’ factor
"First of all, let me say that those Churches are absolutely and unbelievably gorgeous! Second, I now have to visit Old Montreal! But third, and most important, I agree that you definitely need visuals to add that "wow" factor to your blog or Website. The thing is, a lot of people, especially new bloggers, just don't know how to "frame" their verbal content artistically, so they lack the "wow" factor on their blogs. Some business owners feel their product is so great on its own that it will just rise to the top without having "wow-ness" in their marketing. Some put the "wow" into customer service and ignore the quality of the product itself. I think they key is not only having the "wow" factor, but putting it into all the touchpoints. What do you think? BTW, thanks for the great post!"How Much It Costs To Start An Online Store And Should I Dropship Or Carry Inventory
"Hi Steve, Still find my mind quite boggled by the $4.95 startup figure. It's true, though, that you don't need much money to start a business online. Also just because you start small doesn't mean you can't grow big. I think a shoestring budget is also a good idea for experimentation while trying to figure out what works."5 Characteristics of a Welcoming Website
"I agree with BizRock, Robert. Great overview. I suppose the overall message here is that out of all the Websites on the Internet, you must be sure yours sticks out. Otherwise don't expect any visitors or any business to be developed through that channel. A Website that doesn't stand out is a waste of time and energy for all concerned."Becoming Intentionally Extraordinary
"Yes it's true that the key is hard work. And I do mean conscious hard work. There are some people who are sort of extraordinary on their own, naturally, but for them the hard work comes in when they must try to capitalize on their natural gifts. I think it's even harder for these people to do this than for the average person to consciously become extraordinary. What do you think?"How to Manage a Business and a Marriage
"Some of these recommendations are pretty good, but the tricky part happens when both spouses are entrepreneurs, trying to build a business together, and each have to pull a full load of responsibilities, often at opposite times of day. What do you recommend when you have to work opposing schedules?"5 Underground Secrets You Don’t Know About Blogging
"You're right, they're not really secrets, but they're all good points. Actually I think a lot of people get into blogging without really understanding the commitment and self-discipline needed to build a blog into a business. But like anything artistic, sometimes people who are best at generating interesting content are not great at the business side of things. Great post!"Social Media Boosts Organic Search Results [Infographic]
"Awesome infographic, and actually of something useful. I'm a bit on infographic overload, but I like that this one shows the power of social media on building traffic. To think there a lot of small businesses out there who don't do any social media at all! Great post and thanks!"Humor: Tech Jargon for the Business Analyst
"Okay, I can't figure out the employee characters motives: Is he scamming the boss or just as dumb as the boss? I had a debate over it with my business partner. I would agree that he's scamming, but the expression on his face and the implied pause makes him just look as dinosaurish and idiotic as the boss. Which is it? BTW, thanks for the post!"Subscribe
4 Reasons Why You Must Add Images to Every Blog Post You Publish
"It's true that pictures speak a thousand words, and I always like a blog with visuals--all text just looks boring and flavorless. I think video can also be a really great addition, and I believe it's even better for engagement and SEO. Do you have any information for readers on that? I know Google favors video to just images. What do you think?"
