"I especially liked the part about blogs w/too many ads, Jason. Pop-ups are extremely annoying, and the flashing ads sometimes make it impossible to read the text. Do I read the ads - never (I'm immune to them). Sometimes I magnify the page to 400% to avoid the flashing - if that fails, I click out & forget it. "In the old days, surgeons would smoke in the O.R. When I worked in a local hospital ('00-'08), respiratory therapists would take smoke breaks - till smoking was finally banned 11/07 - then they'd go across the street & puff in front of the Funeral Home (no kidding). Go figure? I lost my mother & older brother to smoking in 2000 - cancer & emphysema, respectively. I've the hated tobacco industry since I was a kid, hearing my mom cough her lungs out every morning - till a few years ago. "Hi Rochelle, Big tobacco finally fell when internal whistle blowers proved (via paper work) that big tobacco had done their own studies that also proved cigs caused cancer, and that nicotine was addictive. It also proved they increased the level of nicotine to further hook the victims. All along they had maintained that their research said tobacco caused no ills, and that cigs were not addicting. Lies! "I totally agree vis-a-vis TMI, Sarah. Since you brought up politics, as a moderator here at BizSugar, I'm wondering how many posts in 2012 will actually be political rants thinly disguised as being small business related. The idea is dreadful & repugnant (regardless of which party gets smeared). I love articles drawing analogies to non-business areas - sometimes they're riveting, but in 2012 let's hope people can separate business from personal political messaging! (I'm getting this out a whole year early, I know.) businessavante "
